Aleš obtained his master degree in sociology at the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts. In 2006 he received his doctoral degree at the Center for Higher Education Policy (CHEPS), University of Twente in the Netherlands. Since 2020 he has been serving as a vice-dean for external relations and development at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of the Charles University.
This workshop is meant to discuss various ways to approach and interact with a larger scientific community including researchers and academics. In small groups in an interactive way different strategies will be discussed and afterwards presented for a clear task: a new website should be created. What is our target group? Which way of communication should we use? How the website should be structured? How can we use social media? How to make this project sustainable? It is based on a real story of a Czech scientific portal established in 2016. Since its launching it has become an important source of information for those interested in research, development & higher education.
