Thomas Eikeland Fiskå holds the role of UiA’s Design Coordinator, tasked with overseeing the university’s visual branding, both in print and online. In addition, his exceptional facilitation skills ensure that the workshop will be a positive and enriching experience for all attendees.
The University of Agder (UiA) in Norway has transformed its strategy into a foundational narrative that underpins all communication activities Merely being "another university" no longer suffices for UiA, particularly in the face of dwindling national funding and the intensified battle to attract students.
Over the course of an intensive week, communication specialists, students, faculty, and external partners engaged in robust discussions to distil the university's essence into a concise narrative. This narrative captures UiA's uniqueness, values, passions, and purpose.
Øivind Dagsvik Eskedal, Director of Communications, alongside the university's Design Coordinator, Thomas Eikeland Fiskå, will elucidate the methodologies employed and, through a dynamic workshop, offer a glimpse into how this process can be expedited. They will candidly share the oversights encountered en route, providing both entertainment and educational value.
Additionally, participants will depart with a structured approach to developing a brand platform for their own universities, coupled with considerations on its implementation across communicative activities. Whether you are at the genesis of crafting a brand identity or striving to refine an established one, this workshop is laden with essential insights and resources.
Øivind and Thomas eagerly anticipate your presence in Turin!
This is a Workshop (medium to very interactive) held with Øivind Dagsvik Eskedal and taking place in ROOM E2 (CLE first floor)
