The Spring School is proposed in the framework of the European Competence Centre for Science Communication that COALESCE project is establishing.
The course provides:
- Cutting-edge strategies for communicating complex research topics as sustainability and AI
- Practical tools: evaluating communication activities and social media and their impact
- How to integrate AI into your daily work while maintaining control over its use.
Designed to address the growing demand for sustainable, impactful communication in academia, this intensive program will empower participants to navigate the challenges of today’s digital landscape.
Objectives
- Clarify aims, audiences, priorities for communication of research
- Manage tensions and expectations
- Create a platform for participants to share problems and experiences
- Support effective communication of crucial research topics
- Provide tools and strategies for the use of social media and AI for communication
- Offer tools for the evaluation of communication activities
Participants profile
Junior communication officers in academic and research organisations associated with EUPRIO for 2024 and/or 2025
Format
- 20 participants
- introductory talks of 20-30 mins or 1h maximum
- Lab sessions with practical exercises on case studies (1h30’). Participants will be invited to bring a problem or challenge
- Language: English

Participants pay for their travel (included public transports) and accommodation costs
Pre-booked rooms on VIU campus San Servolo Residential Center are available at advantage rates for participants, who reserve and pay their rooms directly writing an e-mail to reception@servizimetropolitani.ve.it. Breakfast is included.
