
Julie Haffner holds a Bachelor degree in public relations. She started her career at CERN, first as a press officer and then a a social media manager. She has been working at EPFL since 2019, where she deals with media relations, coordinates strategic and editorial projects and takes part in the management of EPFL's social media channels and team.
Universities are complicated animals. When you're trying to take a strategic approach to communications, particularly when it comes to your institution's flagship research areas that affect several faculties, decentralization and the multiplication of communication channels become a problem.
Over the past 2 years, we've tried to adopt a strategic approach to 3 transversal research areas (AI, sustainability, health), which affect several faculties, research centers and laboratories. We are going to present our approach and our tools.
