Prepare for the second edition of TalentOn – a contest extraordinaire for young and ambitious scientists who wish to shape the future and have an impact on our reality!
The event takes place from 9 to 14 September in Katowice, the European City of Science 2024.
During a several-day hackathon, participants will work on innovative solutions to improve the quality of our lives in the future. The best teams can win cash prizes! Each team is to develop the possibly best and based on scientific methods solution to address a problem related to the area of one of five EU Missions in Horizon Europe:
- Adaptation to Climate Change
- Cancer Prevention and Care
- Restore our Ocean and Water
- Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities
- A Soil Deal for Europe
Hackathon participants will work in international teams, supported by experts in various fields of science. Moreover, the participants can also use the infrastructure elements of universities within the Academic Consortium Katowice – City of Science. Register now and change the world for the better! The recruitment lasts until 13 May. The list of qualified participants will be announced in June, and the first meetings online are scheduled for July.
The European City of Science Katowice 2024 is organised by the Academic Consortium Katowice – City of Science consisting of: Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education in Katowice, the Silesian University of Technology, the Medical University of Silesia, the University of Economics in Katowice, and the University of Silesia in Katowice (leader); the City of Katowice, the Silesian Voivodeship, and the Metropolis GZM.
